mogari 虎落

The bamboo stalks, with the branches and leaves attached, that are placed facing the enemy in the bottom of a dry moat. Mixed in with the leafy bamboo are thick pieces of bamboo that have been cut on a diagonal and pointed toward the enemy. Thorn trees or bushes, sakamogi 逆茂木 or sakamogari 逆虎落, are used for this purposed.
