koshimaki doi 腰巻土居

Also termed koshimaki-ishigaki 腰巻石垣, a waist-band stone wall. A stone wall built around the lower part of an earthen, embankment *doi 土居. A head-band earthen embankment is called *hachimaki doi 鉢巻土居, and is the same as hachimaki-ishigaki 鉢巻石垣 (a headband stone wall).
