Lit. Kinkakuji t style fence. A type of low, bamboo see-through fence *sukashigaki _ used to divide tea gardens *roji In. Based on the open lattice checker fence *yotsumegaki lڊ_, whole thin bamboo are used for the verticals *tateko Gq, while very thick bamboo are split for the horizontals *oshibuchi and the crowning *tamabuchi ʉ. These low fences, typically 30-50 cm, high, are associated with the temple Rokuonji (Kinkakuji), Kyoto, but variants are found in many temples and gardens.
