kawarayane-zukuri　瓦屋根造

A vernacular house *minka 民家 with a tiled roof *kawarayane 瓦屋根. The term was recorded in 1848 in the diary of a village official, who was a member of the Nagai 永井 family in the province of Shinano 信濃, present day Nagano prefecture.
