Also read kasanarizaka. A type of warrior run *mushabashiri 武者走, that ascends to the top of an earthen embankment *doi 土居, or stone wall *ishigaki 石垣, inside a castle. It was comprised of two parallel diagonal sloping paths, one for climbing troops and the other for descending troops, enabling the efficient repositioning of soldiers.
