Also sometimes written 竃男. Lit. cauldron male. An alternative term for *kamadogami 竃神, the tutelary deity of the cooking range *kamado 竃, and cauldron kama 釜, and by extension of the kitchen. Term used in Iwate, Akita and Miyagi prefectures.
