kama-no-kami 釜の神

A general term for the tutelary deity or deities, kami 神, of the cooking range *kamado 竃, and by extension of the hearth and kitchen. The names of the two gods principally worshipped in this connection are Okitsuhiko no Mikoto 奥津日子命 and Okitsuhime no Mikoto 奥津比売命.
