A pattern composed of concentric circles on a pendant *gatou Š’“– and parallel lines on a semi-circular, convex eave-end tile *nokimarugawara Œ¬ŠΫŠ’. Juukenmon have a raised dot or seed shape *shumon Žμ•Ά at the center point surrounded by three or five widely spread concentric circles sanjuukenmon ŽOdŒ—•Ά or gojuukenmon ŒάdŒ—•Ά. All have an undecorated comparatively high wide rim. Example: juukenmon on the pendant of the semi-circular tile found at Heijoukyuu •½ι‹{ excavated from Awa Kokubunji ˆ’”g‘•ͺŽ›, Tokushima prefecture. Some juukenmon tiles have a centered lotus pattern surrounded by concentric circles. An example is one from the Heijou site in Nara.
