ita

Also written 鈑 or 版. Originally a relatively thin flat timber, stone or sheet of metal. In the Medieval period (1185-1568), however, the word ita referred to a boarded floor. Now 鈑 read han or itagame is used to define sheet metal; while 版 read han is used to define ferroconcrete.
