| A type of decorative pattern painted on coffered ceilings *goutenjou 格天井 or ceilings with latticed compartments *kumiire tenjou 組入天井. A single flower ikka 一花 is painted in each coffer *gouma 格間. See *shiken ikka 四間一花. A good example can be seen on the ceiling of Daigoji *Gojuu-no-tou 醍醐寺五重塔, Kyoto. | ||||||
