hikihashi 引橋

1 Lit. a pull bridge. A type bridge that can be pulled into a castle. One such example is the kurumabashi 車橋, a bridge with wheels attached so that it can be rolled inside. In some cases the wheels are attached to the foundation.

2 A removable bridge. A bridge made of wooden crosspieces that can be removed leaving only the girders.
