hirabuchi tenjou　平縁天井

A simple ceiling made of boards and battens. The battens are thin and rectangular in section and are placed at right angles to the ceiling boards to secure them in place. Hirabuchi tenjou is used in storage areas, closets, and other structures where more refined and elegant materials are not needed.
