A simple style of balustrade placed around a low, step-like veranda *hamayuka 浜床 found in shrine architecture. One example is found in *nagare-zukuri 流造 style buildings which are characterized by a greatly extended front eave. This balustrade has top and bottom railings secured by struts *tsuka 束 but no middle railing.
