hafuki-no-Amida 歯吹きの阿弥陀

Lit. *Amida 阿弥陀 with teeth exposed. An image of a standing Amida with his mouth open slightly and his teeth showing. Extant images date no earlier than the Kamakura period. Examples are kept in Jouzenji 浄禅寺, Toyama prefecture and Koumyouji 光明寺, Osaka.
