guzumi　具墨

An opaque, dark grey pigment *ganryou 顔料 made by mixing black carbon ink *sumi 墨 with shell lime *gofun 胡粉. Inks and coloured paints lightened with white pigments like gofun and kaolin *hakudo 白土 are called *guiri 具入り.
