A roof that has two different inclines between the ridge and eave ends. It changes its direction of flow without any distinct dividing line. Typically, in later Buddhist or shrine architecture the sag in the roof sloped sharply near the ridge and changed to a more gentle slope toward the eave ends *nokisaki 軒先.
