fumikomidoko　踏込床

Also fungomidoko ふんごみ床. An alcove *tokonoma 床の間, with a board floor at the same level as the mats *tatami 畳. The frame *tokogamachi 床框 around the sides of the alcove is omitted. However, the top frame *otoshigake 落掛, and ceiling are the same those of with a usual raised board floor alcove *itadoko 板床. Example: Seisonkaku Seikouken Gensoudoko 成巽閣清香軒原叟床, Ishikawa prefecture.
