They must inscribe their names, a procedure called rekimei —π–Ό. The Chakutouden at Kasuga Taisha t“ϊ‘εŽΠ (1413) in Nara and at Yoshida Jinja ‹g“c_ŽΠ (1864) in Kyoto have open fronts and earthen floors covered with gravel.
