Call for Papers now OPEN!

We are pleased to announce that the 5th Asia Future Conference (AFC#5) now invites proposals for papers, short papers, and posters/creative projects.

 

The 5th Asia Future Conference (AFC#5)
Date: January 9 (Thursday) – 13 (Monday), 2020 (Including arrival and departure dates)
Place: Alabang Metro Manila and Los Baños Laguna, Philippines

 

The AFC aims to provide a platform for researchers and scholars who have studied in Japan or who are interested in Japan to meet and discuss the future of Asia. The AFC is interdisciplinary at its core and encourages diverse approaches to global issues that are both mindful of the advancement of science, technology, and business and also take into consideration issues of the environment, politics, education, the arts, and culture. The AFC is not a conference for a specific field of study, so please try to make your presentation comprehensible to a general public.

 
THEME
The overall theme for the conference is:
SUSTAINABLE SHARED GROWTH: OUR COMMON HOME AND HAPPINESS
We welcome full papers, short papers, posters/creative projects related to the following topics in order to encourage interdisciplinary discussions at AFC#5.

LANGUAGES
The official languages of AFC#5 are English and Japanese only. Select the language of your oral presentation or poster presentation/creative project when you register. Abstracts in English must be no more than 250 words. If your oral presentation is in Japanese, please submit your abstract both in Japanese (600 characters) and English (250 words). You do not need to submit an English version of your full paper or short paper if your oral presentation is in Japanese.
 
PRESENTATIONS
1. Short Paper (2 to 3 pages)
2. Full Paper (between 5 to 10 pages)
3. Poster/Creative Project
 
ASSIGNMENTS OF PARALLEL SESSIONS
Parallel Sessions will be held on January 11 (Saturday) and 12 (Sunday)
1. General Session (Sessions arranged by AFC Organizing Committee)
2. Group Session (Sessions arranged by groups of presenters)
3. Student Session
 
SUBMISSION PERIOD FOR ABSTRACTS:
[A] October 17, 2018, to January 1, 2019: Abstracts of full papers to apply for AFC Scholarship and Best Paper Awards.
[B] October 17, 2018, to June 30, 2019: Abstracts of full papers, short papers, posters/creative projects that are NOT eligible for AFC Scholarship and Best Paper Awards.
