AFC - The 1st Asia Future Conference

You can get the information on your User ID and Password from the Registration webpage. See the guide for a more detailed explanation.

The User ID No. is the four digit number that you get when you register AFC online system. This number will be used frequently when you contact us or on other occasions.

The above screen is displayed after your submission.  Then you will receive an e-mail from AFC Secretariat.

“Create account and submit contribution” is to open your own AFC online account on the system from where you can find necessary information about the AFC.  It also enables you to receive e-mail and other information from the AFC Secretariat.

“Participation Registration” is to inform the AFC Secretariat that you will participate in the AFC and/or that you would like to reserve your accommodation. 

If you did the “Create account” and/or “Participant Registration” but for some reason cannot participate, please close your account by yourself (See the following guide for withdraw) or contact the AFC Secretariat.  We will cancel your registration.

We have the “Subsidy for Promising Researchers,” the “Early Bird Discounts,” and “Economy Participants (3 Star Hotel.)”  The “Subsidy for Promising Researcher” covers the lodging fee for the designated hotel.  The recommendation of the AFC Academic Committee is needed for this subsidy.  The “Early Bird Discount” is 20 per cent discount on the participation fee.  The details could be found at the following link: http://www.aisf.or.jp/AFC/2014/information/

Please take the following steps when you open an account on the AFC online system.

(See the guide for a more detailed explanation.)

・Please have all the members of your specific group choose the same topic(s) from  “ Overview >Your Submissions>Edit Contribution Details “ when you open an account.  

・Please leave a message that you would like to make one session with your specific group (name: Mr./Ms.***) in “Remark / Message to the Program Committee and Chairs.”

We wil try as much as possible to comply with your wishes.  But please understand that we might decide to put you in a different session, or that another presenter might join to your session.

The “Submission Received” e-mail may have been sent to the “Spam Folder” in the most of this case.  Please check that first.  You can also confirm your submission and other information by logging on to the AFC online system.

There are two methods of transfer:  PayPal (credit card settlement) and bank transfer.  You can view on your AFC online account the explanation for each method when you do the “Participation Registration”.

It takes some days if you paid by bank transfer.

You can print out a simple version receipt through the AFC system.  Please contact the AFC Secretariat if you need a more formal one.

The assignment of rooms for sessions and maps are posted at the AFC office on the site during the AFC.

Registration fee includes Proceedings, meals* and parties

[*dinner on Aug. 21^st (Thursday), all meals on August 22^nd (Friday) and August 23^rd (Saturday), breakfast on Aug. 24^th (Sunday) and Aug. 25^th (Monday)] 

You will get meal coupon for different restaurants when you check in the hotel.

No. you will receive the prize only when you attend the award party.

Yes.  We will post the photos on the AFC website during a period of time from which you can download pictures.

You can get on a pay shuttle bus/taxi from the airport to the hotel if you register during the specified period of time. You need to fill in the “Travel Form” (http://www.aisf.or.jp/AFC/2014/registration/) in addition to the “Participation Registration.” The shuttle bus/taxi is charged a fee.

ユーザーIDとパスワードの確認はRegistrationのページからできます。詳細はこちらをご覧下さい。

ユーザーID番号とは、ユーザー登録時に付与される4桁の番号のことです。この番号はお問合せや会議受付けの時などよく使います。

論文はPDFファイルで保存の上、投稿をお願いします。論文投稿のしかたはこちらをご覧ください。

投稿が完了すると、上の画面が表示され、登録したメールアドレスに投稿完了のお知らせが届きます。

「アカウントを作成し、投稿する」とは、AFCで必要な情報を得ることのできるシステムに、自分のページ(アカウント)を作成するため必要な登録です。この登録をすることで、事務局からのご案内メールなどの情報が届きます。

「参加登録」は、AFCに参加するか、また宿泊予約などの手続きのために必要となる登録のことです。「参加登録をして論文投稿もしたけれど、参加しない」場合は、辞退手続き（投稿論文の取り下げ(withdraw)）をご自身でするか、事務局へご連絡下さい。

「投稿の取り下げ」(withdraw)は下記の手順で行って下さい。

 投稿の取り下げが完了すると、下のメールが届きます。

補助金および割引は、「将来有望な研究者のための補助金」(滞在費が無料。AFC学術委員会の推薦が必要)、早期申し込みによる「早期割引(早割)」(参加費2割引)の2種類があります。詳細はhttp://www.aisf.or.jp/AFC/2014/information/ をご覧下さい。

同一セッション希望については、アカウント登録時にAFCシステムで次の作業をお願いします。

・「　概要 >あなたの投稿 >投稿内容を編集する　」 の トピックの選択で、メンバー全員が同じトピックを選択して下さい。

・「コメント/プログラム委員および委員長へのメッセージ」（英語版は「Remark / Message to the Program Committee and Chairs」）　で「〇〇さんと同じセッションを希望」とのコメントをそれぞれ書いて下さい。

できるだけご希望に沿うように努めますが、こちらの判断で違うセッションになったり、また他の参加者が入ることもあります。予めご了承ください。

多くの場合、受領通知メールは「迷惑メールフォルダ」に入ってしまうようです。まずは「迷惑メールフォルダ」をご確認下さい。またAFCシステムのマイページから投稿や登録情報の確認をすることができます。

振込み方法はPayPal（クレジットカード決済）と銀行振込の2つです。それぞれの振り込み方法や振込先は、システムで「参加登録」をする時に表示されます。どちらの振込み方法も不可能な場合はAFC事務局にご相談下さい。

銀行振込の場合にはシステムへの反映に時間がかかります。予めご了承下さい。

領収書は、システム上から簡易版がプリントアウトできます。もし正式な領収書が必要の場合には事務局( [email protected] )までご連絡下さい。

会場の事務局オフィスの前にセッションの部屋割りと地図を張り出します。またAFCホームページ上でも公開しますので、併せてご利用下さい。

登録費には、食事代と懇親会費が含まれています。

食事は、8/21(木)夕食、8/22(金)と8/23(土)の全食、8/24(日)と8/25(月)の朝食を提供します。詳細は、後日発行するインフォパック(INFOPACK)を参照して下さい。

表彰式にご欠席の場合は、受賞資格失効とみなします。予めご了承下さい。

会議終了後にAFCのサイトで公開しますので、そちらよりダウンロードして下さい。
