The Second Asia Future Conference invites papers, posters, and exhibitions according to the following procedures.

Theme

The overall theme for the conference is: “Diversity and Harmony” Indonesia is a multi-ethnic state, rich in racial, linguistic, and religious diversity. This is well represented in its slogan, “Unity in Diversity ( Bhinneka Tunggal Ika)”. We encourage a creative approach to thinking about the relationship between “diversity” and “harmony,” for example, “Diversity in Harmony”, “Diversity for Harmony,” etc. We welcome Paper/Poster/Exhibition proposals related to the overall theme and one or more of the following sub-themes, in order to encourage interdisciplinary discussion at AFC2014Bali. Sub-theme :

Submission Details

  1. Register as a “User” for an account on the AFC2013Bali website (www.aisf.or.jp/AFC/2014). Upon registration, you can use your ID and password to continuously access and make any changes to account details.
  2. Submit your paper/poster/exhibition abstract/project-plan through your personal webpage on the AFC2014Bali website:
    • Submission Period：May 8th to August 31st 2013. Reopen until February 28th, 2014. We are still accepting applications of papers although no longer entitled for the “subsidy for promising scholars” or “best paper awards”. Please submit abstracts online by February 28th, 2014.　Selection results of abstracts will be informed by March 31, and full papers of accepted abstracts are due by June 30th.
    • Language: English (250 Words). If your paper/poster/exhibition will be in Japanese, submit both English (250 Words) and Japanese (600 Letters).
    • Previously published papers are welcome but will not be considered for Best Paper Awards. If your paper has been published elsewhere, please make note of this in your abstract.。
  3. The results of screening by the AFC Academic Committee will be sent to your email address by October 31, 2013. Acceptance of abstracts/project-plan means acceptance of oral or poster presentations or exhibition at AFC2014Bali.
  4. Upon notification of acceptance of the abstract, submit your draft full paper (not more than 10 A4-size pages) or poster presentation data, again through your personal webpage on the AFC2014 Bali website. Full Papers submitted by February 28, 2014 will be screened for the Best Paper Award. Full Papers submitted before June 30th will be included in the Proceedings.
  5. The results of Best Paper Selection by our Academic Committee will be announced by June 30, 2014.
    6. May 1st, 2013 Call for abstracts (“English only”, or “English and Japanese” if full papers will be written in Japanese)
    August 31st, 2013 Deadline for abstract submissions. Although no longer entitled for the “subsidy for promising scholars” or “best paper awards”, we are still accepting applications.
    Before October 31st, 2013 Announcement of selection results of abstracts.
    In the acceptance notice, application procedures for the subsidies for promising researchers will be included.
    Before December 20th, 2013 Release of selection results of subsidies for promising researches.
    February 28th, 2014 Deadline for full papers (English or Japanese ) for the selection of Best Papers. Only for those who have completed online submission of abstract to AFC by August 31, 2013 and have been informed of acceptance by October 31.  Final deadline for abstracts (no subsidies or awards available). Selection results of abstracts will be informed by March 31, and full papers of accepted abstracts are due by June 30th.
    February 1st to April 30th, 2014 Pre-registration (20 % discount fee)
    May 1st, 2014 to June 30th, 2014 General Registration (full registration fee)
    June 30th, 2014 Deadline for full papers to be included in Proceedings  Release of selection results of Best Paper Awards
  6. Participation Subsidies based on applications
    • Participation Subsidies (Registration and Lodging at 3 Star Hotel) for 100 Promising Researchers will be available on an application basis after acceptance of abstracts. The AFC Academic Committee will announce the selection result by 20 December 2013.
  7. Awards
    • Best Paper Awards will be given to about 20 papers selected from those submitted before 28 February 2014 by the AFC Academic Committee. An award certificate, souvenir, and $300 prize will be given to the awardees.
    • Best Presentation Awards will be given to one presenter from each session, to be recommended by session Chairs. An award certificate and souvenir will be given to the awardees.
    • Best Poster Awards will be given to about 10% of the poster presentations that are selected by the AFC Academic Committee. An award certificate and souvenir will be given to the awardees.
    • Best Exhibition Awards will be given to about 10% of the poster presentations that are selected by the AFC Academic Committee. An award certificate and souvenir will be given to the winners.
    • An awards ceremony will be held during the farewell party.
  8. Selection PolicyPlease be reminded that submissions not adhering to the deadline and specific format (language, number of words/ letters and pages) will not be screened by AFC2013Bali Academic Committee. AFC2013Bali Academic Committee will prioritize abstracts/project-plans/papers by the following criteria:
    • Originality
    • Relation to the AFC2013Bali theme “Diversity and Harmony”
    • Interdisciplinary approach
    • International approach

テーマ

本会議全体のテーマは「多様性と調和」です。 インドネシアは多民族国家であり、種族、言語、宗教は多様性に満ちています。そのことを端的に示すのは「多様性の中の統一（Bhinneka Tunggal Ika）」というスローガンです。本会議の全体テーマの「多様性」と「調和」の関係は、「調和ある多様性」「調和のための多様性」などご自由にお考えください。 あなたの論文・ポスター・展示作品は、第2回アジア未来会議で学際的に議論するために、この全体テーマと、下記のサブテーマのいくつかに関連していることが望ましいです。 サブテーマ

下記の要領で投稿してください

  1. 第2回アジア未来会議のホームページ（ www.aisf.or.jp/AFC/2014 ）からユーザー登録してください。一度登録するとIDとパスワードにより何度でもアクセス、改訂することができます。発表要旨・計画をアジア未来会議ウェブ上のご自分のページに投稿してください。
    • 受付期間: 2013年5月1日～8月31日。追加募集: 2014年2月28日まで。 発表論文を追加募集しています。「将来有望な研究者のための補助金」および「優秀論文賞」の対象にはなりません。2014年2月28日までに発表要旨をオンライン投稿してください。発表要旨の選考結果は3月31日までに通知されます。合格者は6月30日までにフルペーパーをオンライン投稿してください。
    • 言語：英語（250語）。ただし、論文・ポスター・展示が日本語の場合は、英語（250語）と日本語（600字）の両方を投稿してください。
    • 既発表の論文も投稿可能ですが、優秀賞の対象にはなりません。既に発表した場合には、発表要旨の中にその旨明記してください。
  2. 学術委員会による審査の結果は、2013年10月31日までにEメールでお知らせします。発表要旨・計画が合格した方には、第2回アジア未来会議で口頭かポスター発表あるいは展示をしていただきます。
  3. 合格通知を受け取ったら、発表要旨に基づいた論文（フルペーパー：A４判で最大10ページ）あるいはポスター発表のデータをAFCホームページ上のご自分のページから投稿してください。2014年2月28日までに投稿された論文は、優秀論文賞の審査対象になります。2014年6月30日までに投稿された論文とポスター発表データは、予稿集（Proceedings）に掲載されます。
  4. 学術委員会による優秀論文賞の選考結果は、2014年6月30日までに通知します。
    5. 2013年5月8日 論文募集（英語。ただし、日本語で論文執筆あるいは発表する場合は、英語と日本語の両方）
    2013年8月31日 発表要旨締め切り。 「将来有望な研究者のための補助金」および「優秀論文賞」の対象にはなりませんが、まだ応募を受け付けています。
    2013年10月31日以前 発表要旨の選考結果を通知
    合格通知には、将来有望な研究者のための補助金案内が含まれています。
    2013年12月20日以前 将来有望な研究者のための補助金の選考結果を通知
    2014年2月28日 優秀論文賞の選考となる論文（英語か日本語）の締め切り。ただし、2013年8月31日までに発表要旨をオンラインで投稿し、10月31日までに採択通知を受信した方のみ対象。  発表要旨締め切り（補助金・優秀論文賞の対象外）。発表要旨の選考結果は2014年3月31日までに通知されます。合格者は6月30日までにフルペーパーをオンライン投稿してください。
    2014年2月1日～4月30日 早期割引参加登録（2割引き）
    2014年5月１日～6月30日 一般参加登録（割引なしの正規料金）
    2014年6月30日 論文集に掲載する論文締め切り（これ以降の投稿は論文集に掲載できません）  優秀論文賞選考結果の発表
  5. 申請に基づく参加補助金

    6. 発表要旨・計画書の合格後、将来有望な研究者のための申請に基づく参加補助（登録費と三つ星ホテルの宿泊費）が、将来有望な研究者100名に提供されます。学術委員会による選考結果は12月20日までに通知されます。

  6. 優秀賞
    • 2014年2月28日までに投稿された論文を対象に、学術委員会が選考した約20本の論文に、優秀論文賞を授与します。受賞者には、賞状、記念品と、副賞300ドルが贈られます。
    • 各セッションの座長から推薦を受けた１名に優秀発表賞を授与します。受賞者には、賞状と記念品が贈られます。
    • 学術委員によって選ばれた、全体の約10%のポスター発表に、優秀ポスター賞を授与します。受賞者には、賞状と記念品が贈られます。
    • 学術委員によって選ばれた全体の約10%の展示作品に、優秀展示作品賞を授与します。受賞者には、賞状と記念品が贈られます。
    • 授賞式はフェアウェルパーティーの中で行われます。
  7. 選考の方針締め切りが守られていないもの、語数、字数、ページ数などのフォーマットが守られていないものは、審査対象となりませんので、予めご了承ください。 第2回アジア未来会議の学術委員会は、下記の点に留意して選考します。
    • 独自性があるか
    • 「多様性と調和」という第2回アジア未来会議のテーマに沿っているか
    • 学際的アプローチか
    • 国際的アプローチか
